- If you are expecting normal exertion with warm days and warm nights (above freezing), then an appropriate weight per person, per day is between 1.5 and 1.75 pounds. A person with a larger appetite would need 1.75 pounds.
- If you are expecting normal exertion levels with warm days and cold nights (below freezing), an appropriate pounds per person, per day is between 1.75 and 2. A person with a large appetite would need 2 pounds.
- If you are expecting normal exertion levels with cold days and cold nights, an appropriate ration would be 2 to 2.25 pounds per person, per day.
- If you are expecting heavy exertion levels with warm days and warm nights, an appropriate ration would be 1.75 to 2 pounds per person, per day.
- If you are expecting heavy exertion levels with warm days and cold nights, an appropriate ration would be 2 to 2.25 pounds per person, per day.
- If you are expecting heavy exertion levels with cold days and cold nights, an appropriate ration would be 2.25 to 2.5 pounds per person per day.
