  2. If you are expecting normal exertion levels with warm days and cold nights (below freezing), an appropriate pounds per person, per day is between 1.75 and 2. A person with a large appetite would need 2 pounds.

  3. If you are expecting normal exertion levels with cold days and cold nights, an appropriate ration would be 2 to 2.25 pounds per person, per day.

  4. If you are expecting heavy exertion levels with warm days and warm nights, an appropriate ration would be 1.75 to 2 pounds per person, per day.

  5. If you are expecting heavy exertion levels with warm days and cold nights, an appropriate ration would be 2 to 2.25 pounds per person, per day.

  6. If you are expecting heavy exertion levels with cold days and cold nights, an appropriate ration would be 2.25 to 2.5 pounds per person per day.
